dance
Dance performance and workshop activity featured heavily in the early days of '33'.
Notable achievements included the WANDS (Women Against Nuclear Dumping) dance group who devised and toured new work, and the early involvement of local dancer Perry Louis, who went on to form the influential JazzCotech dance group that performed throughout the UK and internationally. Perry’s career has seen him become the featured artist with, amongst others, the James Taylor Quartet. He has toured worldwide as a solo dancer, as well as becoming a leading authority on contemporary jazz dance.
